Lockdown 3 - update Rev Chris Smith - March Services 2021

As I write the PM has just published his roadmap out of lockdown. The numbers of vaccinations and case numbers all continue to go in the right direction. Let us pray none of the variants cause too much trouble.

Considering this the Extended Team of Clergy, LLM and wardens met to review our worship pattern. We decided to let the temporary suspensions of morning worship expire at the end of February 2021. This will mean that worship can be restored at St Mary’s and St George’s at 10:30am each week, starting 7th March. Social distancing, extra cleaning and our zoom service all remain in place for the foreseeable future; this means we will keep our interim pattern of worship until the end of Step 2 on May 16th.

Here is a reminder of what our Sunday service pattern will look like:

 9am Weekly Zoom Service
9am Fortnightly Service at Minal (1st and 3rd)
10:30am Weekly Services at St Mary’s and St George’s
5:30pm Fortnightly Informal Service at St Mary’s (2nd and 4th)

If you have any questions or queries about this programme, please speak to the Rector or wardens. Service times can be found on our main page here or individual church pages.

Every Wednesday:

Live Prayer Meeting at 8am in St Mary's Church (half-hour)
Zoom Evening Prayer at 5pm via Zoom.

During 2021 our Churches are all open for individual prayer:
St Mary’s, Marlborough 9am-4pm, daily
St George’s, Preshute 9am to 4pm, daily
St John the Baptist, Minal 9.30am to 4pm, daily

Note the COVID requirements for each church: wear a mask, use hand sanitisers, leave doors as you find them, loos are closed, please sit where there is a green tick and after use, please flip the sign to show a red no-entry sign.
