Confirmation

Confirmation is an opportunity for older children (11+) and adults to confirm for themselves the promises that were made on their behalf at Baptism.

For those who wish to explore this, including those who are already confirmed but would like to re-visit the promises made earlier, Confirmation classes are held which ensure that people are properly prepared. ease Please contact please contact one of the clergy to register your interest or for more information.

Confirmation Services which take place in Salisbury Cathedral are conducted by a Bishop and include the moment when the Bishop will lay hands on the head of the confirmation candidates and pray 'Confirm, O Lord, your servant with the Holy Spirit'.

Confirmation is an exciting step on the journey of faith and once confirmed people are able to receive the bread and wine of Holy Communion.
